Exams for Microsoft certification at the Fundamentals level cost $99 each. Whether you succeed or fail, this is the fee for taking the test. Overall Certification Cost The complete cost of a Microsoft certification will vary depending on how many examinations are necessary to obtain the certification. The Fundamentals certificates, such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, only needed one certification test to get passed. Therefore, this certification will set you back $99. You may need to complete one or two examinations to earn Associate certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator. The certification fee will range from $165 to $330. Depending on your starting point, the optimal certification path for you could be to take and pass a Fundamentals certification before progressing is an Associate or expert-level certification. Additional Factors Affecting Costs: Location: Exam prices can vary based on the country or region due to distinctions in economic factors and purchasing power. It's always a good idea to check the official Microsoft certification website or consult local testing centers for accurate pricing. Additionally, there are costs associated with study guides, practice tests, and other resources. Certification Renewals: Microsoft has moved towards a model where specific certifications need to get renewed periodically, usually every 1-2 years. While these renewal exams are typically shorter and less expensive, they are an additional cost to consider for maintaining certification status. Discounts and Offers: Microsoft often provides discounts to students, educators, and military personnel. Moreover, there got periodic offers, vouchers, and bundles can lead to substantial savings. Always check if you qualify for any of these discounts. Bundled Exams: For certifications requiring multiple exams, Microsoft sometimes offers bundled pricing, which can be more cost-effective than paying for each exam individually. Is the Investment Worth It? While there are costs associated with Microsoft certifications, it is necessary to view them as an investment in your professional future rather than just an expense. Here's why: Increased Job Opportunities: Certifications can give you a competitive edge in job applications as they demonstrate your skills and dedication to professional growth. Potential for Higher Earnings: Several surveys and studies indicate that certified professionals earn more than their non-certified counterparts. Professional Growth: Studying for certifications helps you gain deeper insights into tools and technologies, making you more proficient in your role. Recognition: Certifications can lead to massive recognition within your organization, opening doors to promotions and new projects. Conclusion: The cost of accepting a Microsoft certification varies based on the specific certification, region, and additional training or resources you might need. While there's a monetary cost associated, the potential benefits in terms of career growth, salary, and opportunities can far outweigh the initial investment. When considering a Microsoft certification, evaluate your professional goals, the potential return on investment, and the value it can add to your profile. Happy studying!

What were the AZ-303/304 tests were The AZ-303 and AZ-304 Although the subjects covered in the two tests are relatively similar, you must understand their various facets. The AZ-303 test focuses more on technical limits and how to put up something. For instance, you must be able to use the Azure CLI and Azure PowerShell modules to create a VNet, add VMs, and then enable VNet peering. Additionally, you need to understand what database sizes are compatible with the various Azure SQL options and which VM Skus to utilize for which applications. The AZ-304 emphasizes which service you ought to choose when developing a solution. You need to know, for instance, whether to implement the requirements using Azure Front Door or Azure Traffic Manager. Although writing code is typically not required, be ready to grasp at least the most fundamental instructions. I began with the AZ-304 because it better aligned with my professional background and piqued my curiosity. I was confident I would pass the test because I received an 880 out of 1000. Then I began preparing for the AZ-304, which was significantly more difficult for me than I had anticipated due primarily to my lack of experience with Azure PowerShell. I typically use Azure CLI. However, the exam requires you to be knowledgeable about all available technologies. I had some trepidation about passing the exam, but to my surprise, I breezed through it and received a score of 930 out of 1000. Passing the test There are two ways to take the test: in a legitimate testing facility or at home. You can choose whatever option gives you identical exams, as both are available. I've previously taken tests in person, but for the AZ-303 and AZ-304, I opted to take the online version. The exam lasts 130 minutes; however, allow three hours to account for the ID check and specific Microsoft survey questions. This gives you plenty of time to review your responses. I completed both exams in less than an hour. I had 48 questions on the AZ-303 exam and 62 on the AZ-304 exam. The number of questions should fall somewhere in that range. A score of at least 700 out of 1000 is required to pass. Remember that Microsoft employs a dynamic scoring system; thus, 700 out of 1000 does not equate to 70%. After passing both examinations, you receive the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification and badge. Examining in a testing facility A few years ago, I took a test at a testing facility, which wasn't the most enjoyable experience. You must visit their location, confirm your identity, and bring a valid ID. You must deposit all your possessions, including your wallet, phone, and watch, in a locker before being led into a room with many computers to take your exam. Working with the mouse at my exam facility, which was from the 1990s, was extremely difficult. Although I didn't feel at ease there, there was nothing wrong with taking the test in a testing facility. Online exam taking I took both examinations online because there were no testing facilities in my area due to the pandemic. It would help if you had a strong internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone to take the examinations from home. Headphones are not permitted, though. I found it much more comfortable to take the exam at home. You can use your computer, mouse, keyboard, and chair—all of which you are already accustomed to—instead of traveling there. Thirty minutes before the exam is planned, check-in begins. You need to snap a photo of your ID and yourself after clicking a link you receive on your phone. After taking four pictures of your surroundings, you will be added to the waiting list. A proctor will contact you via voice mail or chat a short while later. They may ask you some questions, such as asking you to show them your workstation. The official exam then starts after they have started the exam for you. As soon as the exam is over, you will find your score and how you performed in each section. Challenge of the Exam I was shocked by how challenging the questions were when I took the practice examinations. It's crucial to concentrate on the question and read it verbatim. Sometimes the answer to a question can be altered by only one word. In my exam, there were two questions for which I had no idea what the answer was. Take a deep breath and attempt to rule out any erroneous replies in this circumstance. There are frequently one or two incorrect replies, leaving you with just two options. If you're still unsure, venture a guess. For incorrect responses, you don't lose any points. Never fail to respond to a question! I was far more at ease taking the AZ-304 practice exams than the AZ-303 ones. The AZ-303 exam, strangely enough, felt simpler than the AZ-304 exam. I suppose that my questions there were a little bit fortunate. Conclusion The AZ-303/304 Exam certification will still be necessary as long as businesses continue to use this technology and federal government agencies cooperate with Microsoft. The time and effort invested in earning an AZ certification will pay off in the long run by providing opportunities for both short- and long-term success with more thorough AZ-303/304 training. What distinguishes AZ-303 and AZ-304 from one another? Exams AZ-303 and AZ-304 are no longer offered. Microsoft updated the AZ-300 with the AZ-303 and the AZ-301 with the AZ-304 exams quite some time ago. Many of you must be having trouble deciding between the AZ-303 and AZ-304 exams. Do you want to know the distinction between AZ-303 and AZ-304? Please allow us to help you with this decision. We will discuss the variations between AZ-303 and AZ-304 in this article. These two tests and how and why they differ are frequently confusing. But because they both span a wide range of the same technology, they are comparable in many aspects. The design is, of course, one of the main differences between the two titles, Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-303) and Microsoft Azure Architect Design. First, let's understand some of these distinctions. Let's talk about both exams now. First of all, in the age of technology, Azure Certification is one of the most sought-after credentials. The Azure Certification can advance your career to new heights and has established a global certification standard. Furthermore, candidates with knowledge of this software and system procedure can benefit from the Azure certification by opening up attractive job opportunities. Details for Basic Exams - Overview Candidates who can develop and implement solutions running on Microsoft Azure, encompassing components like computation, network, storage, and security, will pass the test. An Azure Solution Architect collaborates with clients, cloud DBAs, and administrators to implement the solutions. Having all the information gathered and using suitable learning materials to prepare for the AZ-303 exam is crucial. Candidates for the Microsoft AZ-303 exam should possess the following: First, advanced IT operations experience and understanding. The second requirement is expert knowledge and comprehension in networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platform, budgeting, and governance. Candidates for this position should be able to manage choices in each area and influence an outcome. Additionally, they must have experience with Azure development and DevOps procedures and expert-level skills in Azure management. An Azure Solution Architect's duties include advising stakeholders and converting business requirements into scalable, dependable, and secure cloud solutions. The technical responsibilities of monitoring, designing identification and security, planning data storage, developing business continuity, and designing infrastructure are also assessed. Candidates for this test should also have subject-matter experience in creating and putting Microsoft Azure-based solutions, including computing, network, storage, and security-related components, into practice. AZ-303 and AZ-304 Exam Format Let's now concentrate on the exam specifics for both exams. Both tests share a standard format because they are both Microsoft products. Microsoft has demonstrated numerous significant advancements in its certifications and is still doing so. Since they must adapt to the most recent trends and innovations, people will always learn the most from this. First, there are 40–60 questions on the AZ-303 and AZ-304 tests. The candidate must maintain high precision and speed. In addition, candidates may encounter other AZ-303 test question categories in the exams, such as scenario-based single-response questions, multiple-choice questions, arranged in the correct sequence questions, drag & drop questions, mark review, drag, and fall, etc. In addition, the candidate must obtain a 700 or higher score on the test to succeed. Therefore, it is crucial to have all study materials available to acquire this Microsoft AZ-303 exam passing score. Additionally, these tests are offered in English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), and Korean. Additionally, the exam costs USD 165. Comparing the course descriptions Now let's contrast the AZ-303 and AZ-304 course outlines. We may argue that both tests have certain things in common, yet they differ significantly. Regarding the AZ-303, it includes VMs for Windows and Linux as well as Implementing storage accounts. Azure Active Directory, virtual networking, container-based applications, managing hybrid identities, workloads in Azure, application security, etc. On the other hand, if we look at AZ-304, it includes a solution for single-sign-on, authentication, Conditional Access, including multi-factor authentication, user self-service, Azure Policy, database scalability, encrypting data while it is in use, transmission, and rest, as well as site recovery network, capacity, geo-redundancy of workloads, autoscaling, etc. The main distinction between the AZ-303 and AZ-304 exams First, the Microsoft Exam AZ-303 asks questions about how to use technologies, whereas the AZ-304 asks whether technology is most suited for a particular situation. The main point of differentiation is that the AZ-304 test is based on questions built around customer requirements, while the AZ-303 exam is based on technical operations and their implementations. Additionally, the variations between the two exams can occasionally be slight. Additionally, the Microsft AZ-304 test emphasizes identifying business requirements utilizing practical examples, limitations, and business objectives and choosing solution implementations depending on an organization's needs. As opposed to the AZ-303 test, which concentrates on ensuring that those solutions are correctly designed, installed, or migrated. Conclusion As long as companies continue to use this technology and as long as federal government agencies continue to work with Microsoft, the AZ-303/304 Exam certification will still be required. With more thorough AZ-303/304 training, the time and effort put into obtaining an AZ certification will pay off in the long run by offering opportunities for both short- and long-term success. The AZ-303 Study Guide for Azure Architect Technologies This guide now accurately reflects the revisions to the new, enhanced curriculum that were made after the June 30, 2020, publication of the NEW AZ-303 exam (beta). Although the AZ-300 exam's predecessor is still available, it will be phased out at the end of September. This manual concentrates on all the crucial details required to pass the AZ-303 exam. Links to training programs, books, and other resources are also included for you to use as you refine your study strategy. Finally, we discuss common queries Azure students have when they start their first Microsoft Azure adventures and give links to practice examinations. Check out our post on the exam approach if you have no idea where to start in your pursuit of certification. What does the certification for "Azure Solutions Architect Expert" mean? Many cloud professionals want the Azure Solutions Architect Expert credential more than others. The target audience for this certification is seasoned IT professionals with expertise in cloud infrastructure and services, including networking, storage, computing, governance, identity, security, data management, and DevOps. It is a challenging certification to obtain and requires extensive study and prior IT expertise. You must be able to administer the Azure environment and give your clients direction based on their unique goals and business contexts to sit for and pass these examinations. This accreditation shows that you have the expertise to take customer requirements and turn them into solutions based on industry standards and past performance. What tests do I have to take? The AZ300, 301, 303, and 304 Given recent developments, deciding which examinations you need to take could be challenging. The new tests are AZ-303 and AZ-304, replacing the previous ones, AZ-300 and AZ-301. The exams were divided into two main stages, and they still are. For each step, you must pass one exam to receive the certification. MICROSOFT AZURE ARCHITECT TECHNOLOGIES, STAGE 1: Options for Exams: AZ-300 (OLD) and AZ-303 (NEW) This certification step focuses on ensuring you have the hands-on engineering expertise to work in an Azure environment. As a result, you will have a thorough understanding of how the various Azure services operate, which will assist you in making wise design decisions in the following step. MICROSOFT AZURE ARCHITECT DESIGN AT STAGE 2 Options for Exams: AZ-301 (OLD) and AZ-304 (NEW) As you architect solutions with your application teams, this step of the certification now shifts toward essential design decisions you will need to make in the real world. Here, the questions center more on actual-world scenarios than hands-on configuration. You can obtain the certification badge by taking and passing an exam from stage 1 and stage 2. Be aware that you can presently combine the new and previous tests. Microsoft implemented this, which could be a little perplexing, to enable individuals who have already completed one of the older examinations to combine it with the more recent one. Take AZ-300 and AZ-304, or AZ-303 and AZ-301, as examples. If you're just getting started, your most excellent option today is probably to choose the AZ-303 and AZ-304 combination. The remaining sections of this study manual will concentrate on the AZ-303 exam. An Azure Solution Architect collaborates with clients, cloud DBAs, and administrators to implement solutions. A candidate for this exam should have in-depth experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platform, budgeting, and governance. This role should be able to manage how decisions made in each of these areas affect a comprehensive solution. Additionally, this position should have experience with Azure development and DevOps processes and expert-level skills in Azure management. How much time is required to prepare for the AZ-303 exam? An EXPERT-level certification is the AZ-303. You should be ready to invest some time in your preparation because the curriculum has expanded significantly since its inception. Before we talk about scheduling, consider the exam's layout. As of June 2020, the AZ-303 test covers the following four areas in depth: Putting in place and maintaining an Azure infrastructure (50–55%) Adopt management and security measures (25–30%) Implement app solutions (10–15%) (10–15%) Implement and oversee data platforms You can see how the test is divided from the above percentages. This indicates that you can anticipate your questions to describe the essential Azure services in about 50–55 percent of them. Note particularly Sections 1 and 2. Those sections alone could make up more than 80% of the total exam content. Conclusion The AZ-303/304 Exam certification is still necessary as long as businesses continue to rely on this technology and as long as federal government agencies maintain their partnerships with Microsoft. The time and effort invested in earning an AZ certification will pay off in the long run by creating opportunities for both short- and long-term success with more thorough AZ-303/304 training. The AZ-104: Is It Worth It? Microsoft Azure is used by organizations worldwide, from large multinational firms to small local businesses. Despite their enormous differences, companies that use Azure have one thing in common: they all require IT staff to ensure that Azure functions correctly. Microsoft offers the AZ-104 exam to demonstrate whether or not an administrator is qualified to administer all of Azure's features. Completing it grants an administrator the associate-level Azure certification from Microsoft. An Azure administrator's primary responsibility is to maintain the proper operation of a company's overall Azure environment. For that, it's necessary to manage users, set up storage, set up computing resources, and keep an eye on virtual networking resources.
