Many people are confused about the difference between CCNP Security Recertification and CCIE security lab V6. SPOTO has collected some answers from our candidates.

No.1

I hope everybody's CCIE Security studies are progressing.

I have a few questions for the CLN team - perhaps rivilla can answer it.

I hold a CCNP Security, currently due to expire in June 2020. It is governed by the current recertification policy and will, along with all other current Cisco career certifications, transition to the new scheme in February 2020. Until then, any of the following will recertify my CCNP Security for 3 years:

Retake and pass one CCNP exam

Pass one CCIE written exam

Pass one CCIE lab exam

Source: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/recertification-policy.html

Also in February 2020, anyone holding a current CCNP Security (or, more precisely, have passed all four of the current CCNP Security exams - whether or not they have the CCNA Security and CCNA R&S current prerequisites) will be issued the Cisco Certified Specialist security certifications - including Security Core.

My source for this understanding is the migration tool:https://cciedump.spoto.net/ccnp-dumps.php

Now for my questions:

1. Yes or No:

If I retake and pass anyone the current CCNP security exams prior for February 2020 (thus extending my CCNP Security for 3 years under the current scheme) will I be eligible to take the CCIE Security v6 Lab exam anytime after February 24 2020 (as long as it is within the newly extended validity period of my CCNP Security)?

2. True or False:

If I pass said lab exam my understanding is that I would then be granted the CCIE Security since I would have both the "Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core" (by virtue of migration) and have passed the v6 lab exam.

Thanks for reading.

no, you will need all 4 current ccnp sec exams passed so that migration tool does not show u that u need  exam SCOR 300-701

(noticed 3 out of 4 gets u specialization but not actual new ccnp cert)

and current certification must be valid and passed on 300-2xx exams, not old versions!

if u pass all 4 exams now, you will be eligible to register for CCIE Sec lab - I do not agree with this but it appears so. if you were up to me, I would give us new ccnp sec from migration but not let us register for CCIE lab until u pass SCORE 300-701 exam. so #2 is true.

The core exam is also the qualifying exam for the CCIE Security certification. Passing this exam helps toward earning both of these certifications.

Note: if you have any questions, and you can follow SPOTO where we will update the latest news related to Cisco certification exam dumps. Our exam practices are stable and valid. If you want to pass the exam in the first attempt, and you can enquire about us.
