What is CCIE?

Procedure to gain CCIE Certification:

CCIE Written Exam:

In order to gain the CCIE Routing and Switching Certification, first you must have to pass the two hours written qualification exam, which are going to cover the networking concepts and some equipment commands before you are eligible in order to schedule the lab exam.

CCIE Lab Exam:

After finishing the CCIE Written Exam, then comes the eight-hour lab exam which is going to tests your ability to configure the actual equipment and troubleshoot the network in a timed based test situation.

CCIE Lab Format:

The Candidates will be presented with a series of trouble tickets for the preconfigured networks and they would also be needed to diagnose and resolve the network fault or faults.  As with the configuration section, the network must be started and running for a candidate in order to receive the credit.  The Candidates who clear the troubleshooting section early are eligible to proceed on to next section which is the diagnostic section, but remember that they won’t be allowed to go back to troubleshooting section, once they choose the diagnostic section
