However, upgrading the courseware to be in the swiftness with the latest technology advancement would be considered as a much-needed aspect. • CCIE Routing and Switching Exam Before 24 February’ 2023:
The candidate as of now would be required to undertake a dedicated CCIE Routing and Switching written exam and a separate 8-hour CCIE Routing and Switching lab exam at one of the global Cisco Lab test centers. Professionals would be needed to clear the CCIE Routing and Switching written exam, and they would be required to undertake the Lab exam in the time span of the next 18 months.
The written exam would be comprised of a two-hour exam 8for assessing the knowledge of the candidate on specific topics by simulated scenarios and multiple-choice questions. The CCIE Routing and Switching lab exam would be testing the candidate’s competence and knowledge in troubleshooting a network infrastructure under a stipulated period. The exam would be supposed to be taken at one of the Cisco Lab centers or the mobile labs subject to availability.
• CCIE Routing and Switching Exam After 24 February’ 2023
As from 24 February 2023, professionals who would be seeking CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification wouldn’t be required to appear for a specific CCIE written exam. Instead, the candidates could complete the core written exam, 300-401 ENCORE (Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies). The Encore exams would be considered of 120 min written exam which would be gauging the knowledge of individuals on core aspects of the technology of the network infrastructure. Clearing this written exam would be able to earn the candidate the title of ‘Specialist.’
• If You Have Already Started the Preparation For CCIE R&S:
Well, the current courseware is considered to be valid till 23rd Feb’20, and hence, candidates who would be willing to complete their CCIE R&S could continue working towards it and it would be require taking the exam before 23rd Feb’20. If the candidate clears the exam, his or her CCIE status would be upgraded to CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure v1. Candidates could also undertake CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Lab exams after clearing their CCIE R&S written exam.
