Hello, I’ve tried to use CCIE security lab v5 for the second time.
In my second attempt, I believe I‘ve done well in all three parts:
1) I can solve and verify all the events.
2) The diagnosis I answered with confidence in most of the questions. My feeling is, I‘m 70% in this section.
3) Configure and verify all the required tasks, but one exception is that I have not completed it completely. The problem in the lab is not partially scored, so I don‘t think this task is complete. I’m sure the task will not cost me much. I have a PASS/ PASS/ PASS, but I failed. I was very surprised and disappointed. I looked up and analyzed what I did. In addition to this task in the CONFIG section, all other work is expected.
I have verified all of the tasks in the TSHOT & CONFIG section in accordance with the instructions of the laboratory material. I then try to calculate my cut score, which must be 80% or more, according to my understanding. In general, my calculation started from 91% of the logging score. This is by assuming I missed the 3% of the DIAG section and 6% of the CONFIG section from the TOTAL point. I’m sure I‘m doing well, so I want to know why my grades have so big differences (scores below 80 points
4) Especially because I can verify all the tasks I’ve done! The task I have not completed is equal to 6% of the TOTAL lab point, and there is no dependency on other tasks. I‘m starting to think about a reexamination. I‘m a little scared, considering that the possibility of the actual change is small. According to my research on the Internet, it’s 0.3%. How accurate is that? I hope it‘s not, but then I said, there’s always hope... I do believe in correcting the transparency and effectiveness of the system, but sometimes the system does have an error.
So, I’m asking for a reexamination, and I‘d like to know how long it takes? In addition, do you know which parts of the lab are being reviewed (TSHOT/ DIAG/ CONFIG)? I understand that the "safety tracking" has only one re-view option, without a reread option. Thank you for your help and advice.
