What Does 200-301 Mean For My CCNA Concentration Studies?

With the retirement of the (CCENT) certificate of the Cisco Certified Entry Network technician in February 2020, Cisco recently announced that the improved Cisco Certified Networks Association (CCNA) will include previously independent knowledge from February 24, 2020. But the related CCNA concentration. In particular, the alternative concentrations for CCNA 200-301include all of the following:

※ CCNA Cloud

 CCNA Collaboration

※ CCNA Data Center

※ CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate)

CCNA Industrial

CCNA Routing and Switching

CCNA Security

CCNA Service Provider

CCNA Wireless

For example, if you are currently learning network design for CCDA certification, you should know that, after 24 February 2020, CCDA certification will be replaced by the primary 200-301 CCNA certification. This alternative means that CCNA candidates that are primarily tested for routing and switching in previous CCNA certification exams can now be tested in design principles, cloud technologies, collaboration technologies, security, wireless technologies, and more. The current list of full-test topics includes the main components of security fundamentals, automation, and programmability, as well as the sub-sections of the wireless and wireless architecture.

If you are currently studying any of the CCNA concentrations replaced by 200-301, you may want to know what the certificate will take after 24 February. Never be afraid. Cisco has a plan. Unlike the CCENT certificate being retired, the CCNA for any of the above-mentioned centralized tests will automatically obtain a new CCNA certificate and a training badge on behalf of February before the deadline of 24 February. The candidate completed 24 concentrations. For example, if you pass the CCDA test before retiring, you will get a new CCNA certificate badge and CCDA training badge.

After February 24, you will still be able to get a training badge, although you will no longer be able to take the 200 -301 replacement centralized exam. In their certification FAQ, Cisco said candidates would be able to begin receiving training badges for courses completed after February 24, 2020.

Now that you have spent time and money studying CCNA centralized certificates, such as CCDA, should you continue this road or wait for the new 200-301 exam? Cisco’s advice is to move on. At the time of writing, you still have more than six months to complete the credentials you are using. None of this work is futile, because you can get not only a new CCNA certificate through a centralized exam but also a new training badge.

Keep going. Although Feb. 24, 2020, will be here before you know it, you have more time now than not to complete your concentration.
