Introduction of CISSP

Exam requirement of CISSP  

Candidates are required to have a minimum of five years cumulative paid work experience in two or more than two of the eight domains provided in the CISSP CBK. Education credit would only be able to satisfy one year of experience. Work Experience

Your work experience should fall within two or more of the eight domains mentioned in the (ISC)² CISSP CBK:

Full-Time Experience: Your work experience is going to be accrued monthly. Thus, you would have worked a minimum of 35 hours per week for four weeks in order to accrue the required one month of work experience.

Part-Time Experience: Your part-time experience wouldn’t be less than 20 hours per week as well as no more than 34 hours per week.

Internship: Paid or unpaid internship would be considered acceptable. You will need documentation on company or organization letterhead which would be confirming your position as an intern. If you are going to be interning at a school, the document would be on the registrar’s stationery.

Approved Credential on the (ISC)² Approved List:

You would be able to satisfy one-year of work experience if you are holding one of the approved credentials on the (ISC)² approved list, which you could look at their website.
