Cisco CCIE Data Center certification would be authenticating an expert-level skill that would be required for the planning, designing, implementing and managing of complex modern IT data center infrastructure.

Prerequisites:
You should have a further understanding of the exam topics and have an eight-year job experience before obtaining certification, even though there are no official prerequisites for CCIE certification.Other professional certifications or training courses are not going to be required. Instead, candidates must first have to clear the CCIE Data Center Written Exam, and then the corresponding CCIE Data Center Lab Exam so as to gain this certification.

CCIE Data Center Written Exam:
You would have to primarily clear the two-hour, written qualification exam covering concepts and equipment commands related to data center networking infrastructure before you would make yourself eligible to schedule the lab exam.
CCIE Data Center Lab Exam
CCIE Data Center Lab is considered to be a two-part eight-hour timed exam that would be testing the candidate's skills in diagnosing, configuring and troubleshooting a complex data center topology. The candidates are required to make an initial attempt of the CCIE Lab Exam within 18-months of clearing the CCIE written exam. Candidates who do not clear this exam would have to reattempt the lab exam within 12 months of their last scored attempt so that they could remain the written exam to be valid. The candidate would have to pass the lab exam within three years of passing the written exam; otherwise, the written exam needs to be retaken before you retake the lab exam.
CCIE Data Center Lab Exam:
The two parts to the eight-hour lab exam are to be taken in sequence during the day of the exam starting along with Part 1, which would be followed by Part 2 are:
• Part 1: Diagnostic module
• Part 2: Configuration & Troubleshooting module
Part 1: Diagnostic module
Candidates are provided various pieces of information which would be similar to information that is provided to a Data Center support engineer that is assisting a customer regarding finding the root cause of an issue, and similar to information that would be provided by someone who is stuck troubleshooting an issue. Access to the device in this module is prohibited.
The module is going to include multiple-choice, drag-and-drop style items, and point-and-click style items. The Diagnostic module also is known as troubleshooting tickets contain a set of documents that the candidate would be consulting in order to be able to understand and identify the root cause of the issue that would be presented. Candidates analyze and correlate information so as to diagnose among the pre-defined options provided.
Part 2: Configuration & Troubleshooting module
The Configuration and Troubleshooting module is going to tests the hands-on practical capabilities. It would be consisting of various scenarios which would be based on one topology. At the beginning of the module, the candidate would be having a full overview of the entire module; and can make a decision of working on items in a sequence or not. Remember that the Candidates are not allowed to go back and forth between modules during the exam.
