300-101 ROUTE test:

In order to recertify, the candidates are needed to pass any of the following before the date of expiration of the CCNP certification

The candidates are needed to:

•    Pass any recent 642-XXX Professional level or any 300-XXX Professional level test, or

•    Pass any recent CCIE Written test, or

•    Pass the recent CCDE Written test OR recent CCDE Practical test, or

•    Pass the Cisco Certified Architect or the CCAr interview and the CCAr board review so as to extend lower the certifications.

 

When using a higher level of certification in order to extend other certifications, the expiration date of the other certifications will be extended to the expiration date of the higher certification it means that If you have one year left on your CCNA certification and you earn a CCIE certification which will be a two-year certification life, then both your CCIE certification and CCNA certification will expire after two years from the date you have achieved the CCIE certification.
