Why need to work as network engineer?
images

You are a CCIE   once you resolve to  be  one.

For many students who are going to graduate or who would like to switch to network engineers, they often don't understand why they want to toss the network engineers. If you just entered the industry, you may not know that the network engineers are a group of computers and mobile phones. You may want to communicate with friends, colleagues, and relatives who are thousands of miles away. You can get close to people and people with the distance between them.

From the time I first started, I realized that the network is an industry that can change the world. People can use the same network as water and electricity. The equipment is no longer isolated. The information exchanging in every device can be unimpeded. So how do these things connect?

Connection

The connection has changed the way people communicate. Previously, they wanted to communicate with friends from afar. They could only make phone calls and send short messages. How about Nowadays? We only need WeChat and the network can communicate, the previous phone bill was 0.2 RMB/min, now you dont have to pay for that and what is happened and changed this situation? We use the network, each device is configured with an IP address, no matter how far you are, you can find it through IP. Is that just connected to the network cable? It seems to be so simple but that it is far more than that.

The connection needs to pass through the medium. When I was young, I remember that the Internet connection must be connected to the network port before I can access the Internet. And nowadays, many computers use wireless to access the Internet. There are a bunch of wireless devices containing WIFI features in life, even the mobile phones, computers, including the current water heater, curtains, rice cooker, refrigerator, air conditionerall these available to use a WIFI connection. Seriously, when I saw a lot of people using the network that I designed and deployed, I would cheer on my own desperate self.

An internal network used by tens of thousands of people, independent of our current Internet. Everyone transmits production, monitoring and office data on the network. The Internet that everyone uses now is actually a very large local area network, sending their own feelings on the Internet, getting news information, etc., and also changing many industries. In the early years, everyone called to send text messages. Now everyone uses WeChat because the network has gotten through all of this so that devices and people have no geographical boundaries.

How do network engineers build a connection?

Everyone is used to it. The network is the same as the water and once you need and you are able to reach. But how did the network equipment work hard for day and night? These are all network engineers who need a group of silent struggles to maintain and design.

Many people in the home will use TP-LINK or D-LINK and the webpage will open the input address to configure the Internet. Is the work of the network engineers so simple? These home devices are so simple, but you have to put up with a weekly reboot or the network is stuck or even the network is interrupted.

Commercial devices often do not need to be restarted and maintained for several years. How do they work? These are all the efforts of our network engineers to toss, what skills do the network engineers need to build these devices? Network devices are divided into switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, and so on. Each type of equipment has its own housekeeping skills, as well as various manufacturers.

Why are the devices produced by the manufacturers compatible with each other? We have to have common standards, such as the network connectorsspecifications and the IP address between the devices, these must have specifications and all these are within the physical layer of OSI to regulate.

The manufacturers of the production are very diverse. The network engineer must master more than one manufacturer's configuration. The routers that may be worked are CISCO, the switches are H3C, the firewalls are Juniper and the wireless is Aruba. What are their configuration commands? Is a network engineer needs to understand every manufacturer configuration? In fact, no matter what industry, they are doing the same, to get the setup and the moves are ever-changing.

If you want to work in the network industry, you must know that one of the manufacturers is Cisco, Cisco is the pioneer of the network equipment industry. Now the principle and underlying logic of the equipment we use are all Cisco systems, Cisco's theoretical system. It is no exaggeration to study as a basic knowledge.
