Difference 1: Pass CCNA then take CCNP exam vs take CCNP directly.
Difference 2: Different tracks of CCNP with different exam count vs All tracks of CCNA exam take 2 exams: 1 core exam + 1optional exam
Difference 3: There is one optional exam (Automating and Programming 300-X35) In all tracks of CCNP exam
The difference 3 means that
when you take CCNP Enterprise, if you take
(core exam) 300-401 ENCOR + (optional exam) 300-435 ENAUTO
When you take next CCNP such as, DevNet Professional
You just need pass 300-901 DEVCOR exam to earn DevNet Professional certification.
The optional exam is a very subdivided certification in this direction, such as CCNP Enterprise's optional exam: 300-415 ENSDWI and 300-430 ENWLSI, 300-415 is Implementing Cisco SD-WAN Solutions, and 300-430 is Implementing Cisco Enterprise Wireless Networks, they are completely different, which if you want to fast pass CCNP exam, you need take one you good at.
Note:CCNP Core Exam is essential for they will show again when you recertify your CCIE
