The Cisco Certified Network Professional is a professional-level presented by the Cisco certification. Taking Exam:
In order to gain this Cisco certification, the candidates would have to pass the following exam:
300-101 ROUTE Exam:
Implementing Cisco IP Routing or ROUTE 300-101 is a qualifying exam for the Cisco CCDP and CCNP certifications. The ROUTE 300-101 examination is taken in order to certify the routing skills and knowledge of successful candidates. They are certified in using advanced IP routing and addressing in implementing scalable as well as highly secure Cisco routers that could be connected to LANs, WANs, and IPv6.
300-115 SWITCH Exam:
Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks or SWITCH 300-115 Examination is a qualifying exam for the Cisco CCDP and CCNP certifications. The SWITCH 300-115 exam is going to certify the switching skills and knowledge of successful candidates. They are certified in planning, verifying and configuring the implementation of complex enterprise switching solutions that could use the Cisco Enterprise Campus Architecture.
300-135 TSHOOT:
The Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks v2 or TSHOOT 300-135 examination is a qualifying exam for the Cisco CCNP certification. The TSHOOT 300-135 exam is going to certify that the successful candidate has the skills and knowledge which would be necessary to perform and plan regular maintenance on complex enterprise routed and switched networks. Using the technological-based practices and a systematic ITIL compliant approach in order to perform network and troubleshooting.
Recertification Procedure:
In order to recertify, the candidates are needed to pass any one of the followings before the date of the certification expires:
• Passing any current 642-XXX Professional level or any 300-XXX Professional level examination, or
• Passing any recent CCIE Written Examination, or
• Passing the recent CCDE Written Examination OR current CCDE Practical Examination, or
• Passing the Cisco Certified Architect or CCAr interview and the CCAr board review in order to extend lower certifications.
• Achieving or recertifying any of the certifications above will automatically extend the candidates active Professional and Associate level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification to be achieved.
When using a higher level of certification in order to extend other certifications, the expiration date of other certifications will be extended to the expiration date of the higher certification as for example, suppose If you have one year left on your CCNA certification and you could earn a CCIE certification which has about two-year of certification life then both your CCIE certification and your CCNA certification will expire in two years from the date you have acquired the CCIE certification.
