Cisco has announced new CCIE Certification & relevant Exams, which has been active from 24th February 2020. The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) program has received small but significant changes that anyone who considering or working towards needs to know. At its core, the CCIE program still consists of a written exam and a lab exam, but the composition of each of these exam types is changing. In this posting, I’ll go over what is changing in the CCIE LAB exam.
In terms of the laboratory exam, it is simple. There is a lab exam for each CCIE concentration.
• CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure: CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Lab
• CCIE Enterprise Wireless: CCIE Enterprise Wireless Lab
• CCIE Data Center: CCIE Data Center Lab
• CCIE Security: CCIE Security Lab
• CCIE service provider: CCIE Service Provider Lab
• CCIE Collaboration: CCIE Collaboration Lab
In addition to the enterprise infrastructure and enterprise wireless projects, the allowed lab exams are determined by the core written exam you pass. This is the same as the current program. In the current program, if you pass the CCIE Security written test, you must take the CCIE Security Lab test.
Also, enterprise infrastructure and enterprise wireless use the same core exam, and you will be able to choose two different laboratory exams.
Below list shows all updated CCIE Written (Core) Exams & Lab Exams for each CCIE Track:
When it comes to the lab exam itself, Cisco is changing the structure of the exam.
In the new certification program, you will need to complete two modules of the lab exam.
Module 1: Design
Format: Scenario-based
Backward Navigation: Disabled

Module 2: Deploy, Operate and Optimize

Exam score evaluation
Each module will have two key score numbers, a minimum score, and a passing score.
To pass the exam, candidates need to score higher than the total passing score of the two modules, and the score shall be higher than the minimum score of each module.
If candidates score less than the overall aggregated pass score of both modules or score less than the minimum score set on one or more of the individual modules, they will fail the exam.
For example:
Exam score reports
Candidates will not receive any additional points upon passing the exam.
Candidates who fail the exam will receive a score report indicating what modules they have passed or failed. Besides, candidates will be provided cumulative scoring percentages on a per-domain level, across both modules.
