PMP certified exam and CISSP both are considered to be different tests on two distinct subjects. The PMP exam would be covering project management while the CISSP exam would be covering cybersecurity. Let’s check out both the certification to know which one would be harder to pursue. Also, check out the training courses offered by the SPOTO Club to ensure your success.

PMP:

If we do the calculation of the level of difficulty scale from 1-10, PMP would be coming at 9.5. It is considered a four-hour test, and the mathematical calculations in PMP and their depth would be quite intensive compared to CISSP. PMP isn’t much of a technical exam but purely a higher level stuff. 80% of the PMP exams are considered to be scenario-based. You would be required to do good practice only, re-read a few of them before the review would be aborted. PMP would be considered as wide and deep.

CISSP:

CISSP Certification is considered to be a purely technical exam, but the review is harder as well as questions come out of the blue such as a thunderbolt. CISSP is harder because it would be covering so many topics as well as the human mind is only useful to remember a few questions. CISSP is extensive but not that much deep. If you would be asking me who would be more difficult, it is considered to be quite hard for picking, but both are hard. Reading for PMP is considered to be quite enjoyable, but CISSP is deemed to be on a harder level. It would be regarded as a good challenge for preparing for the exam.

PMP Exam VS CISSP Exam

Both the PMP exam is considered to be of 4 hours. The CISSP exam doesn’t have a set duration. Unlike the PMP exam, the CISSP exam is considered to be adaptive. It means that if you would be gaining a question correctly, then the next issue is deemed to be a bit harder. The CISSP exam will be ending when you would have met the criteria of clearing it or if the computer algorithm determines that you won’t be able to pass.

The PMP exam would be consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. These questions would be tending to have more than one correct answer. It would make it tricky because you would have to choose the solution that would be more correct.

Because of this, many candidates felt relieved when they observe formula based questions. As long as they could be remembered about how to do the math, they could ensure that their answer would be correct. The non-formula items would be considered much more challenging. They might fall into the debate on which solution would be better and why. On lots of the questions, they would require to make the best guess. It is considered to be hard to maintain confidence when you are forced to make choices that you aren’t sure of.

The CISSP would also be consisting of multiple-choice questions. Just like the PMP exam, lots of problems don’t have a clear, correct answer. And just like the PMP exam, they might find themselves choosing between 2 answers that would be both correct. With the CISSP PMP, the golden rule would be that the least expensive solution is considered to be the best one.

So, it depends on your skills and knowledge to consider which exam is going to be harder. Thus, you would require having good and reliable training dumps, which would be offered by the SPOTO, to help you out in obtaining success to achieve any of the certifications as mentioned above.
