Become a Cisco Certified Network Associate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those with computer-related positions, such as computer support specialists and network system administrators, can benefit from obtaining Cisco certified network assistant (CCNA) certificates<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. Cisco provides five levels of IT certification from entry-level to expert level. As with many computer-related jobs, CCNA may be able to work from home. While this may mean being able to set flexible schedules, it may also require occasional work at night or on weekends. CCNA certificates are obtained without a specific degree. However, employers in IT fields may request a degree in computer science or information science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CCNA usually has some necessary vital skills, including communication skills, troubleshooting skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, analytical skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Cisco, and the ability to use industry-specific tools. In 2018, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said the median annual salary for network and computer science system administrators was $82,050.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Achieve Entry-Level Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there are no formal prerequisites for the Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNA) test, Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) certification is a good starting point for preparing for more advanced CCNA certification. CCENT certification is obtained through the first part of the interconnect Cisco network device (ICND1) exam. CCNA certificates also require ICND1 certification courses and examinations. Although certification is not required, positions using CCNA certificates usually need several years of experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prepare for and Take the CCNA Exam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Test preparation can be done through self-study of textbooks and practice exams, live classroom courses, online courses, or centralized training camps offered in many places, including Cisco-authorized learning partners. The individual who has been CCENT certified can become CCNA. Only by participating in the second part (ICND2) of the certification training and passing the second part of the examination Moreover, people without prior certification can take combination courses and examinations covering ICND1 and ICND2 materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
