Certified Information Systems Security Professional Certification<\/a><\/em><\/strong> otherwise known as the CISSP Certification was the first technology-related credential to earn ANSI\/ISO\/IEC Standard 17024 accreditation, which would be making it the Gold Standard within the information security industry. This would make CISSP is considered to be one of the most sought after certification as well as a globally recognized standard of achievement. Applicants would be required to have a minimum of five years of direct full-time security professional work experience in two or more than two of the ten domains of the (ISC)\u00b2 CISSP CBK, OR<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

4 years of express security professional work experience in two or more of the ten domains of the CISSP CBK \u00a0along with a four-year college degree or a credential from the (ISC)2-approved list, OR<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00a0If you don\u2019t have the experience you would be able to become an Associate of (ISC)\u00b2 by successfully clearing the CISSP exam. You would be having six years to earn your experience if you wish to become a CISSP.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00a0Note that only a one-year experience would be exempted from education. Then again, there would be a one-year waiver of the professional experience requirement for holding an additional credential on the approved list of the (ISC)2. The candidates are required to have a valid experience that would be including information systems security-related work performed as a consultant, practitioner, investigator or instructor, which would be requiring Information Security knowledge and it would be involving the direct application of that knowledge. The five years of experience should be considered quite an equivalent of actual full-time Information Security work; this requirement would be cumulative, however, and might have been accrued over a much longer period of time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
